THE JOY OF LIFE CHOIR
Daniel Lapp's Joy of Life Choir is a non-auditioned choir for adults that accepts all who come through the door looking for a joyful musical experience. Repertoire is drawn from great songs found in many genres of music including gospel, folk, country, jazz and R & B as well as original songs composed by Daniel specifically for this choir. While participation in concert performances is not mandatory, there are usually several performing opportunities throughout the year including the annual "Home For Christmas” and ‘Joy of Life” Concerts.
This choir has been on hiatus since the last Home for Christmas concert. Stay tuned for news of the next start up date.

ADULT FOLKESTRA
Grab your instrument and come on out to join, "FOLKESTRA"! This lively ensemble is led by Victoria's own eclectic folky chameleon, Daniel Lapp. All instruments and all levels will be accommodated and no audition is required. Sight-reading is an asset but learning by ear is also a part of the game! Expect to learn some Texas Swing, Cajun Waltzes, Alberta Two Steps, Romanian Czardas and more. It's quite likely that we'll go public once or twice at some of Daniel's annual concerts and we'll also learn some of the 'Dance Tunes' that you'll be welcome to come and play at Daniel's monthly Old-Time Fiddle Dances!
Where: St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1379 Esquimalt Road (parking off Grafton)
When: Weekly on Thursdays from 8:15 - 9:30 pm from September 17th '09 until June '10
How Much: $10/week when you sign up for the year or $15/week drop in. Join the ensemble at anytime with permission from the director; fees will be pro-rated.
Why: To have fun!! And to learn a few new licks and tricks from a pro!
